The Gingko Smart Book Light is without any doubt my favorite reading accessory: a pocketable light that disguises as a little notebook and allows you to read anywhere, anytime. What is there not to love?!

This is why I was looking for a simple solution that was small enough to carry with me, but strong enough to illuminate those stolen reading moments.

Powerful design
What attracted me initially to the Gingko Smart Book Light was the design. A stylish notebook when closed, which easily fits in my pocket. With several colors and finishes (leather, fabric, wood) to choose from, as well as different sizes, it is easy to find one that suits your needs and taste.
The Gingko Smart Book Light is not just a pretty accessory though. Once opened, this reading lamp emits a warm and powerful enough light to read by. The 'pages' are made of a thick, tear-proof and water-proof material, which give the Gingko Smart Book Light a much needed sturdiness for a reading life on the road.
Bend it!
The Gingko Smart Book Light can be opened 180 degrees to be set on a flat surface as a little lamp, or attached to any metal surface with the inbuilt magnets, which has been proven quite useful on trains already.
It can also be opened a full 360 degrees, with the magnets keeping it opened, so you can place it on it's side, as a stand-alone lamp. I use it most in this format, since the 180 degrees format isn't always stable enough when there is not metal to attach it too.
Technicals
The Gingko Smart Book Light contains a 400.00 lumen LED-light which emits a warm 2700 K light. The inbuilt lithium battery operates for about eight hours when fully charged. The product comes with a USB-charger-cable and can be charged at any laptop or power bank. When you have a USB-socket connector, you can also directly charge it on the electrical net.
I find attaching the charger cable a tad fiddly, which is the only real issue I have with the product. Always make sure you have the connector facing the right way up and carefully attach it to your Gingko Smart Book Light.
